Tip# 1: White vinegar

White vinegar is extremely multifunctional and as such is a definite must-have in any home. To wash the shower windows or glass screen, heat ½ a litre of white vinegar in the microwave for 30 seconds. The rise in temperature will enhance its effect. Add about 5 teaspoons of dishwashing liquid to the mixture. You then have three options: use a sponge to moisten the walls with the mixture, pour it into a spray bottle and mist it over the surface, or soak some absorbent paper in the mixture and then place it onto the glass so that it sticks. Let sit for thirty minutes and then rinse by rubbing with a sponge. Your shower will have regained its lustre.

Tip # 2: Lemon

Another miracle worker is lemon! If you have one in your fridge, you’ll be blown away by the results. Cut the lemon into slices and rub them directly onto the glass, rub until the soap scum and lime stains disappear. All that’s left to do is rinse with fresh water.

Tip # 3: Baking soda

In a container, pour half a cup of baking soda. Slowly add water until the baking soda takes on a smooth pasty consistency. Using a sponge, dab the mixture over the stained surface and let sit for fifteen minutes before rinsing with fresh water.

Tip # 4: Rinse Agent

Rinse agents, usually reserved for the dishwasher, work really well and will leave you with an impeccable shower. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray directly onto the walls. Wait a few minutes and simply rinse off.

Tip # 5: Softener

Not only does it make your laundry ever-so supple, softener is also useful for cleaning the shower. Apply the product directly on the wall using a sponge. Let it sit for about fifteen minutes and then rinse it off by rubbing with the sponge.
